Summer Garden Party – Sunday 25th July - 2pm to 5pm inclusive

Halswell is pleased to announce its support for the charity C.L.O.W.N.S which provides much needed help for parents/carers and children in The West Somerset District Council area. As part of this support the grounds are being opened for a grand summer garden party with lots to do and see and aimed at just about everyone imaginable. While too numerous to mention every activity, the list below gives a wonderful insight into what visitors can expect.
30 top quality shopping stalls selling gifts for house and garden will be available for grownups together with Balloon Raffle, Donkey Rides with Margo and Victorian Swingboat Rides for our younger visitors.
A welcome Champagne and Pimm's Bar sets the tone with a Mad Hatter's Tea Party ‘happening’ from 2.00 - 4.00pm. (tickets £10.00 to include gate entry and afternoon tea) served in vintage style within the elegant surroundings of Halswell House.
Croquet on the lawn, strawberries and cream, teas, coffees and cupcakes add to the variety and are topped off by Style's delicious Ice Cream.
Guided tours of Halswell House by Sir Nicholas, the ghost of Halswell House (www.halswellplayers.co.uk) will take place throughout the afternoon and should provide much to talk about. Jazz on the Lawn (The Tone Valley Jazz Band) will complete this lovely afternoon of fun (please bring a rug). See you there!
Guy Fawkes Night - 3rd November 2010 - Ticket Event
Once again Halswell lights up the sky for the annual Guy Fawkes Night celebration. As in previous years we will be hosting St Margaret's Hospice fundraising team and the Ball Room will be given over to story-telling in the grand manner together with ghostly appearances from Sir Nicholas and Lady Brigett of Tudor times. Intrigued? Then come along to what is probably one of the most spectacular pyrotechnic displays in the southwest and join in the fun.
Tickets will be on sale from the end of September this year and are priced at £7.50 for adults and £3.00 for children under 12. Gates open at 6.30pm with the main attraction lighting up the sky at 7.30pm.

Glam & Glitter – New Year’s Eve Party 2010
Halswell’s now fabled New Year’s Eve Party is currently booking. The theme this year is ‘Glam and Glitter’ and surely there can be no better backdrop to see out the old year and welcome in the new.
The evening’s entertainment spans two floors with live cabaret, fun casino, ball room disco, sumptuous buffet and three bars. Midnight fireworks see out the old year and usher in 2011 with a bang.
Although tickets are not yet officially available, reservations are being taken. A large number of rooms have been pre-booked so if you want accommodation after you’ve partied yourself to a stand-still you better get a move on! To reserve places and rooms please call the Halswell booking office on 0845 204 1066. To avoid disappointment don’t leave it too late!
Mystery & Intrigue see in 2010
The new year was heralded in with a stylish masked ball at Halswell House. The dress code was black and white, so plenty of scope for the adventurous and traditionally minded , but everyone had to wear a mask! As can be seen from the gallery below a good time was had by all. Champagne, lashings of food and all manner of entertainments kept part-goers busy into the early hours with just a short stop at midnight to bid farewell to 2009 and usher in 2010 with our trademark pyrotechnics show - For forthcoming events please go to www.halswellevents.co.uk
